The party festive season is officially upon us and so is its effect on our social calendar!
We all know that it can be quite the task to create new looks for every occasion and by the time New Years Eve rolls around inspiration could be running short - we've got you covered with a break down of three of the most popular festive occasions and how to dress for them!
With a little thought and preparation I am sure you will be able to nail the look you're after and feel amazing on the night... Enjoy!
NIGHT ON THE TOWN
A key trend we are seeing this season is asymmetrical necklines, in both tops and dresses with an emphasis on black and pastel colours.
Lucky for us as it's flattering to most every body type, showing off the décolletage whilst still being modest to the rest of the body. Chic wrap-style dresses are coming through in blushes and nudes that are again great for all shapes and sizes and are so easy to throw on with a great statement heel for a party in the city. Sleek metallic dresses are also so perfect for any champagne occasion, helping you get noticed but with a subtler touch to a brighter colour. Black accessories go really well with anything metallic and it's something that is already easy to find in most women’s wardrobes so saving on the bank there!
Another note when thinking dressing for a night-time occasion is to invest in statement jewellery. A strong trend that has been coming through is the black choker, a cool alternative to your long pendant chain or fine chain necklaces that you have been wearing for a while. We are seeing them range from sleek and simple designs to more bling statement pieces that will add major impact to your outfit.

BBQ WITH FRIENDS
For the women out there attending a festive BBQ with friends it’s good to think about an outfit that can go from day to night easily. White is a really versatile colour choice that works perfectly for either time of day. White dresses, cropped denim jeans and skirts, either flowy or pencil, the list goes on! They are a great blank canvas to which you can style upon with fun accessories to mix and match to make it feel like a brand new outfit. A stylish summer wedge or espadrille is the perfect combination to pair with fresh whites. It will not only let you last the day on your feet but it will also give you that feeling that you are dressing up whilst remaining comfortable.
Jewellery is another way to add more glam and colour to your outfit. This season go big and bold with earrings with elongated shapes, geo-detailing and tassels are quickly becoming a go-to for occasions you want to feel your best at but not over done.
DINNER WITH THE FAMILY
When enjoying a meal with family it's nice to know that you can keep it to paired back styling with ease. It’s important to feel relaxed and comfortable in whatever you're wearing and so a pair of summer sandals with embroidery, embellishments and pom poms is the perfect solution to feeling festive but also fine on your feet.
Flowy, lightweight jumpsuits in either printed or block colours are a great idea when thinking low key. Jumpsuits are not only very flattering to the body but they are so easy to wear and style.
With the jumpsuit as the focus, pair back with simple chic leather slides or strappy sandals. Another super casual but exciting trend to come through is the volumed checked shirt - so fun to pair with a denim skirt or tailored cotton shorts.
